Become a Member of the Texas Folklore Society
Persons who want to become members of the Texas Folklore Society may do so by submitting their names and contact information on the form available below, with a check for the dues amount, to the Nacogdoches Texas Folklore Society office.
Why Join the Texas Folklore Society?
Members receive a free annual publication or some other folklore book selected by the editor for distribution in the years when a book is not brought out by the Society.
Members receive a 20% discount on purchases of Texas Folklore Society books from Texas A & M University Press.
Members have the opportunity to share folklore with other members through presentations and conversations at meetings.
- Members have the opportunity to submit folklore papers for possible publication in the annual volume.
The Dues year is January 1 through December 31. Dues received after October 15th will be applied to the following year. (Since the annual book is mailed to members in November, the address list for the book distributor must be finalized in October.)
